Gold Medal for Phil, Todd, Misty and Kerri in Gstaad

courtesy of fivb.org - July 29th, 2007

The only thing that Todd Rogers mishandled here Sunday was the opening of a champagne bottle after he and Phil Dalhausser won the men's finale to give the United States a sweep of the gold medals this weekend at the 2007 SWATCH-FIVB World Championships powered by 1 to1 energy.

AVP Men's Top 15 Power Rankings

by Hans Stolfus - Mar. 26th, 2007

Okay, the season's almost here. You know how I know? I'm already starting to get nervous. Really. Oh, and the schedule was finally "officially" released, so there is an actual date printed next to the city of Miami that tells me it's right around the corner. Thank goodness they take player's travel concerns into consideration when planning such arbitrary things as the schedule.

AVP main draw size debate with Todd Rogers and Jason Ring

by David Goodman - Jan. 9th, 2007

We recently caught up with AVP Veterans Todd Rogers and Jason Ring to discuss some of the hot topics swirling around in the off-season rumor mill. There has been a lot of talk in the beach volleyball community about the AVP possibly trying to shrink the main draw size.  The general idea is, shrinking the main draw size could give them a more definitive, manageable event and platform to market their players and tour. Pt. 2: The challenge for elite status and 07' partner speculation

by Joe Muhé - Jan. 10th, 2007

In the first part of this article, we looked at the elite level of the 2006 AVP Women's tour, and made a couple of guesses about what we may see this year.  In this section, we'll take a look at the teams that are going to challenge for that elite status, and continue to offer speculation on what we may see in 2007.

Pt. 1 of 2 : Misty, Kerri and 07' women's partner changes

by Joe Muhé - Jan. 7th, 2007

The 2007 AVP pro beach volleyball tour is fast approaching.  We'll see a lot of familiar faces out there on the women's side of the tour, and I'm sure we'll see some familiar pairings as well. Of course it's usually the partner switches and the soap opera drama that keeps us intrigued, so let's take a look at what went on last year, and what may be in store for us in '07.

2008 Olympic Qualifying - US trials or FIVB Control?

by David Goodman - Dec. 18th, 2006

We asked a few AVP pros their thoughts on the current qualifying structure for representation in the 2008 Olympics.

Phil Dalhausser

"I really think that teams must play on the FIVB because it is a different style of volleyball than we are used to on the AVP tour. Plus, every other country in the world qualifies this way, so why should we be different."
